Responsible for identifying and documenting any and all deficiencies that are related to the existing or new installation of fixed Network equipment and all related ancillary services. This includes towers (including antennas and transmission lines), equipment shelters, generators, fuel sources, site compound components, and utility hook-ups and tenant improvements. Responsible for identifying deficiencies associated with electrical systems such as wiring, UPS, TVSS, and batteries. Responsible for proper installation of the fixed network equipment and all related cabling. In addition, responsible for assuring that the entire site is properly grounded per the R56 standards.
-Travel to Telecommunications sites and conduct site survey and inspections of the core components required in the installation of the communications site based on the R56 industry standards and related building codes. Must be familiar with the operation of standard test equipment including multimeters and Clamp-on Ground Resistance Testers. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Technical knowledge and skills are those normally achieved through an Associate in Electrical Engineering, related disciplines, and /or equivalent. Must obtain certifications - Journeyman CET and Communication Site Installation Inspector (CSII) through the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA). Minimum of 3 years experience in RF land Mobile Radio Systems design and/or implementation with working knowledge of computer software, hardware and LAN technologies.
Employment: Full-time Travel Required: Local and Out of State and Occasionally International Legally authorized to Work in the United States (MOSTLY SOUTHEAST) Could be traveling 2 weeks (+/-) home the rest of the month, flexible as long as hitting deadlines
Preferred Education : Journeyman CET through the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA)R56 Auditor Certification Exam – Communication Site Installation Inspector (CSII) Proficient in the latest revisions of pertinent technical documents and Standards such as NFPA 70. TIA/EIA. BOCA. IBC and Motorola R56
