Radio Field Technician (All islands) 

Harmer Radio and Electronics is looking for Radio Field Technicians. Responsibilities include but are not  limited to: 

• Install, maintain and provide technical support and service of wireless communications  equipment such as UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz analog digital systems. Operating mobile,  portable radio equipment, dispatch consoles microwave systems, using both conventional and  trunked radio technologies.  
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and resolve wireless communications equipment problems with  customers in a positive and effective manner. 
• Installing and commissioning BDA/DAS systems along with testing 
• Outer island travel is occasionally required as is overnight stays 

Qualifications: 

• Ability to use basic hand tools, measuring, cable and connector installation. • Basic knowledge/understanding of 2-way radio theory. HAM operators license helpful but not  required. 
• Basic IP/networking (IP address, subnet, gateway) 
• Knowledge of basic RD, audio and network signal flow 
• Proficiency in operating various test equipment including but not limited to, Watt meter, multi meters, analyzers ...... 
• Excellent communication skills, be motivated, customer service oriented and have a professional  attitude and appearance 
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, such as Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Must have clean drivers records and be able to pass a background and drug test • Willing to learn and be a team player 

• High school diploma or GED required
