A Postdoctoral candidate with extensive expertise in zebrafish husbandry and development, and in molecular and cellular techniques using the zebrafish model, is needed for a newly funded NIH award. Significant expertise with genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9, and in creating transgenic zebrafish is preferred. The successful candidate will study zebrafish models for human mineralized tissue diseases. Research will be conducted in the Yelick Laboratory, located on the Tufts Medical Campus in Boston, and in the 2,000 tank Tufts Zebrafish Facility located within the Yelick Lab.
The successful candidate will have a recent PhD and relevant publications on research using the zebrafish model, have excellent communication and organizational skills, be highly motivated, dependable, productive and able to work effectively with others. The selected Postdoc will have the opportunity to oversee the research efforts of graduate and undergraduate students, and technicians, to facilitate his/her research.
