Immediate opening for experienced two-way radio technician for wireless communications company.
Install/Remove customer provided Fixed Network Equipment (FNE) at job locations or on customer provided vehicles. Installation includes cabling following R56 standards and guidelines.
Perform simple troubleshooting and repair on existing customer provided equipment. Training will be provided on the required installation guidelines.
Installation and removal of 12-volt electronic equipment such as Mobile Radios, Emergency Lights, Controllers,
Document customer information, detail of work performed, hours worked, parts used following specific instructions for customer site.
Responsible for proper care and maintenance of all assigned company assets.
Microsoft Office proficiency
Self-motivated and able to quickly learn new system types and technologies as they are introduced.
Skilled in the use of product specific tools and software in order to perform basic configuration and testing, both pre- and post-installation, as needed.
Basic understanding of communications systems functionality and technology associated with the customer system(s).
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain VHF/UHF/800Mhz/900Mhz/Digital two way radio system
Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights and on roof tops
Job specific training will be provided.
A valid driver’s license is a requirement and a dependable mode of transportation to and from our location is also a requirement. Company vehicle will be provided for any offsite work. The position requires interaction directly with customers. Good communications skills, an awareness of time management, and willingness to follow company policies are also requirements. Background check required.
